Original Watercolour Landscape Artist
Lāsma Zeimule-Kay

Lāsma Zeimule-Kay (b.1994) is a watercolour landscape artist and digital matte painter from Latvia living and working in Bournemouth, United Kingdom.
Art has been a strong part of Lāsma’s identity ever since she was little. She has expressed her creativity through many different art forms over the years learning traditional fine arts, photography, sculpting, 2D animation, and transffering her skills to digital art forms in visual effects.
Her greatest source of inspiration comes from her environments, architecture and travelling. Lāsma is an observer of natures fleeting moments and landscapes which she depicts in her own art style.

The websites name comes from Lāsmas roots – her name in old Latvian meaning ‘sparkling light in the snow’ and her family name coming from Latgale – spoken in the East of Latvia meaning ‘pencil’.
Therefor her name directly translated means Sparkling Pencil. The name felt fitting as Lāsma believes her talents have been passed through generations; her father enjoying drawing and her grandfather holding photography montage exhibitions in his local town.
